Christian Leadership Training

An organization is greatly affected by culture, which is the attitudes, values, and beliefs that are shared by those in that organization. This can affect the structure, a frame of reference that allows them to communicate one with another. It provides a framework for recognizing right from wrong. The way this is done well, is through leadership, which is learned through Christian Leadership Training programs.

Priorities are set up around a code of ethics and principles. These codes become behaviors and are embedded into the organization, providing a guideline for activities within the framework. Christian leadership training can in effect train leaders to understand the cultures and what drives it in any organization.

The Apostle Paul taught that leaders must first give of themselves to Godliness. (1 Timothy 4:15). By bringing Godliness into their own life, they are able to bring it in the lives of others. Christian leadership training develops an effective leader that will not be someone who uses force through his personality or power. They are taught to first have control of their own lives, not seeking to control others.

Christian Leadership training will foster the value of seeing experience and challenge as a chance to learn, and value others as role models and a great source of feedback. They are taught to care, to be relationship oriented, and trained to build and mentor others. Paul said that the tools of a great leader are being good natured, hospitality, respectability and the ability to mentor others.

This is a great tool to help people learn what they can do when they are at their personal best. There are five practices that have been developed by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner in 1983. They put together this Christian Leadership training challenge model, which are the Five Practices:
1. Challenging the process
2. Creating an inspired shared vision
3. Helping others to act
4. Model the way
5. Encourage the heart
Christian Leadership training is about teaching leadership that way God intended it to be. Leadership by example and truth. A true leader is able to carefully run his own life in such a way that will exhibit true leadership skills.
