Brainstorming

Choices are something we have to do,  but not always wanting to.  We make choices that we later regret.  This is an area of our life where we wish that making choices were easier.  Well, there is a way to help us with this process.  It is called “brainstorming”.  This is when we pull the creative side along with the logical side of our brain together.  I guess you would call this lateral thinking.

Brainstorming is a process that helps you to expand your thought process and not restrict the thoughts that flow into your mind.  There are some great benefits of brainstorming like;

  • Reaching down into our subconscious mind and finding information and ideas you have held onto for years.
  • Creativity is given freedom to grow, finding out there are more possibilities that our limited thinking allows.
  • It is so much fun, brainstorming keeps you alert, seeing life in a new perspective, new ideas finding new ground to sow.

Brainstorming is valuable to the market whether you are in sales, business management, marketing, or even a dentist.  Everyone can benefit with this type of problem solving and idea color wheel.  When you are in the work force, everyone looks to one another for ideas.  They may bounce something off of a partner, saying “what do you think about this idea?”, then the partners mind starts turning.  There are ways to create thoughts through triggers which start the innovative thinking process going full speed.

When a group can get together and start shooting off ideas to one another, it can be a regular “creative brain fest”  bringing business innovation right to the table.  This is what can really make a company successful, one that initiates brainstorming into the regular business planning.  Instead of boring meetings where everyone sits there doodling or holding a pencil in their mouth, wouldn’t it be better to have everyone jumping up with another great idea?  This is where the creative juices start to flow.

This is the facilitation of lateral thinking in the brain.  This is the key to producing new and innovative ways of thinking, stepping out of the box, so to speak.  Taking a look at things in a different perspective.

The next time you are in need of some ideas whether it is for your job or for yourself, find someone to brainstorm with, you will wonder where you had been hiding it all this time.
