Brainstorming Example

Running a business is a very difficult thing to do.  There are a great number of things to think about and take care of.  It can take some business innovation in order to accomplish the creative ideas and innovation that will catapult you to the next level.  One of the best ways to do this is to use a brainstorming example.

Brainstorming is more than just a catchphrase.  It is a clearly defined way to do some problem solving and lateral thinking.  The old saying is definitely true; two (or more) heads are better than one!

Unfortunately, it can be hard to try thinking of a way to brainstorm on your own.  If you’re recently starting the process it can help for you to have a brainstorming example.  That way you know the exact methods that have worked for other people in your same situation.

One brainstorming example was done by a group of teachers to try and help their students succeed in school.  The group started off by gathering together  with varying degrees of experience and ideals.  Then, the principal wrote down the exact problem that needed solving.  This problem was that a certain group of students was having trouble reading.

The principal opened up the floor for suggestions on things that were possibly holding these students back.  She made sure that everyone understood that no idea was silly or unhelpful.

All of the ideas were written up on a board no matter how simple or complicated they sounded.  This got more people thinking about what could be done to help their students.  The creative juices started flowing and they were ready to do some mind mapping!

Some groups start right away with mind mapping, while others choose to use it as a later step in the process.  In this brainstorming example the teachers decided to do that after making a list because they were then excited to organize the great ideas they had thought of.

They wrote the problem in the center of their mind map, or web.  Then, there were spokes coming off with the possible causes of that problem.  Finally, there were solution spokes drawn and written about coming off of each of those spokes.  The teachers could clearly see the problem, the causes, and some workable solutions.

If you’re running a business of some kind it can be a great relief to gather a group together and do some brainstorming.  Reading a brainstorming example is a great way to learn about the process so that you can implement it as soon as possible.
